Veterans Day Ceremony

Eastbrook Elementary has invited the Post Family to participate in their Veteran’s Day Ceremony.

Each year, members of the Post attend this event and act as “hosts” during the “Meet and Greet” portion of the event where the visiting veterans and their youth who attend this school have coffee and donuts before the actual ceremony. 

The Auxiliary and Legionnaires hand out poppies and small flags to the visiting veterans and where possible chat about joining the Legion or Auxiliary. Considering that there are often 30 or more veterans in attendance, our small group can not visit with all of them, hence the request for additional Post Family members to attend. 

Post Family members should arrive around 9 AM or as close to it as possible to give us time to get set up and organized. The Auxiliary will set up a display table and we will have Legion Family applications available for distribution. The coffee and snacks are set up by another organization.
